FUEL 2019/2020
We are delighted to announce this year's 2019/2020 FUEL resident artists: Barry Cullen, Annie Keegan, Claire Mullane and Johanne Webb. Each participant will embark on creating a new theatre piece during the 9 month FUEL programme which includes mentorship, workshops, residency periods, a showcase event in the Mick Lally Theatre, networking events, funding and producing advice.
Barry Cullen is a Sligo-based actor, producer and theatre-maker. He will draw on his extensive movement training to create a non-verbal theatre piece about the human experience.
Annie Keegan is a playwright and graduate of NUI Galway’s MA in drama and theatre and over the nine months of the programme, she will develop a new piece exploring ‘workism’ and consumerism
Claire Mullane is a director and dramaturg with a BA in Drama and Music from University College Cork, now resident in Galway, who is working on a piece inspired by Charlotte Perkin Gilman’s short story, Yellow.
Johanne Webb is a director and performer based in Galway and she will develop a new performance about unconscious bias and race in Ireland.
