FUEL 2018
We are delighted to announce this year's 2018/2019 FUEL resident artists: Tara Breathnach, Mags Keohane, Elaine Mears and Sarah-Jane Scott. All of this year's artists are based in Galway and each will embark on creating a new theatre piece during the 9 month FUEL programme which includes mentorship, workshops, residency periods, a showcase event in the Mick Lally Theatre, networking events, funding and producing advice.
Special Guests at Waiting for Godot in New York
On Tuesday evening, the Irish UN Ambassador, Geraldine Byrne Nason and guests, attended Druid's performance of Waiting for Godot at the Lincoln Center as part of the White Light Festival.
After the performance, we welcomed the Ambassador backstage to meet the Waiting for Godot cast and director, Garry Hynes.
Symposium: Druid Theatre, Ireland & Waiting for Godot
NUI Galway and Fordham University hosted a free seminar yesterday at the Lincoln Center to mark Druid's production of Waiting for Godot at the White Light Festival.
Our Waiting for Godot cast and director, Garry Hynes, discussed approaching Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot and were honored to be a part of the symposium that touched on a wide range of topics including Druid theatre, Ireland and Beckett.
Waiting for Godot Opens in New York
Druid's Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett opens tonight as part of the Lincoln Center's prestigious White Light Festival and runs until November 13th. This marks the last stop of our 2018 national and international tour.
There will be a pre-performance discussion with Garry Hynes and Robert Marx on Saturday, November 3rd at 6.15pm.

Waiting for Godot Receives a Herald Angel Award
We are absolutely delighted to have received a Herald Angel Award for Waiting for Godot at the Edinburgh International Festival. It was a brilliant finish to our Edinburgh run. Waiting for Godot will be on the road again in November heading to New York for Lincoln Center's White Light Festival from 2nd - 13th November.
